Mounted to the engine of an excavator, the turbocharger is an air compressor actuated by exhaust gas energy. It compresses intake air using waste exhaust thermal energy to achieve more sufficient diesel combustion, which greatly raises power output, cuts fuel consumption and lessens black smoke release quantities.

Basic Structure (Three Indispensable Main Components)

Turbine End (Exhaust Side Component)Joined with the exhaust manifold assembly, it is struck by 600–900 ℃ hot exhaust gas, rotating the central main shaft at 100,000–200,000 rpm via the turbine wheel impeller.

Compressor End (Intake Side Component)Driven by the shared turbine shaft, the compressor impeller compresses air purified by the air filter unit and delivers pressurized boosted air into engine cylinders.
