The hydraulic pump functions as an excavator’s “heart”, a primary component delivering power to all machine operations.
Core Function
Driven by engine rotation, the hydraulic pump converts mechanical power into hydraulic oil pressure energy. Pressurized oil is fed to cylinders and motors to enable boom lifting, arm movement, bucket operation, vehicle travel and upper‑structure slewing. No hydraulic pump means complete excavator immobilization.
The engine spins the pump’s internal components at high speed, drawing in and pressurizing hydraulic oil. High‑pressure oil travels through piping to actuate boom, arm, bucket, travel and slew mechanisms. Upon releasing operator controls, oil returns to the tank for continuous circulation.

Extended pistons reduce internal volume, compressing oil into high‑pressure fluid that flows to the distribution valve via the valve plate and oil outlet.
Intelligent Flow Regulation (Core Variable Displacement Technology)
When handling heavy loads such as digging soil or lifting heavy items, the pump automatically raises displacement and flow for enhanced power. For idle or light‑load use, displacement is lowered to optimize fuel consumption. Built‑in servo valves and regulators adjust swash plate angles to change piston travel.
