Core Functions
• Travel Control (Most Widely Used): Left and right pedals control respective left‑right tracks. Pedal depression drives forward/backward movement, and pressing depth adjusts travel speed.
• Attachment Operation Control: Switches and regulates working attachments including breakers, quick couplers and hydraulic cutting shears.
• Auxiliary Movement Control: For some excavator models, it fine‑adjusts boom and stick motions or cooperates with joysticks for compound actions.
• Safety Neutral Reset: Springs return the pedal to neutral upon release, shutting off pilot pressure to prevent accidental machine startup.
Working Principle
• As a pilot signal valve, it does not directly actuate motors but outputs minor hydraulic pressure signals.
• When not stepped on: Neutral position maintained automatically, no pressure output and machine stays still.
• When stepped on: Spool shifts to transmit hydraulic signals to the main multi‑way valve for travel motor control.
• When released: Spring resets the valve instantly to stop corresponding movements.
Common Faults
• Track deviation: Internal leakage or spool seizure in one pedal valve
• Pedal stuck without return: Damaged spring or blocked spool
