Engine‑driven rotation of the hydraulic pump converts mechanical energy into pressure energy within hydraulic oil. High‑pressure oil powers hydraulic cylinders and motors for boom lifting, arm telescoping, bucket opening/closing, machine traveling and upper‑part slewing. The excavator cannot function without this pump.
Rapid rotation of internal pump parts, driven by the engine, inhales hydraulic oil and generates pressure. Pressurized oil flows through pipelines to drive boom, arm, bucket, travel and slew movements. Oil cycles back to the hydraulic tank once operating controls are released.
Power Input: The excavator engine rotates the hydraulic pump’s main shaft and piston cylinder block at high speed using a coupling unit.
Oil Suction (Low‑Pressure)
Multiple pistons inside the cylinder block rotate synchronously. The swash plate makes pistons move reciprocally. Retraction expands pump internal volume, forming negative pressure to suck oil from the hydraulic tank.
Oil Discharge (High‑Pressure)
Piston extension compresses oil by reducing internal volume, creating high‑pressure fluid delivered to the main control valve via the valve plate and outlet.
Self‑Adjusting Flow (Core Variable Displacement Function)
During heavy‑load excavation or lifting work, the pump automatically increases displacement and flow rate for greater power. It decreases displacement under light‑load or no‑load conditions to save fuel. Internal servo control components adjust swash plate angles to alter piston stroke lengths.
