The swing reducer (also known as swing gearbox) fitted on excavators is a key transmission component that connects the slewing motor to the large slewing gear ring. Its core functional objective is speed reduction and torque multiplication, achieving smooth 360‑degree full‑circle rotation of the upper structural framework.

Main Structural Composition Layout

Sun Gear: Matched with the spline teeth of the slewing motor unit, it inputs high‑speed rotational power energy source supply.
Planet Gears: 3‑4 individual gear pieces per stage, revolving orbiting around the sun gear while self‑rotating to transfer torque force energy.
