Control the movement of all piston shoes and prevent them from pulling away from the swash plate. As the cylinder block rotates rapidly under heavy high‑pressure loads, springs push the cylinder block to press piston shoes onto the swash plate inclined plane. The set plate wraps around piston shoe tails to restrain outward flight, ensuring persistent contact between piston shoes and swash plate friction surface and sustaining the lubricating film.
It evenly spreads mechanical force and enables piston shoes to follow swash plate angle synchronously. All piston shoes are restrained uniformly to maintain consistent tilt angles, supporting smooth piston reciprocation and lessening flow pulsation and irregular noise.
It supports hydrostatic oil film generation for piston shoe support. Machined oil passages transfer high‑pressure piston oil to piston shoe bottom surfaces, forming hydrostatic cushion film and lowering wear rates of piston shoes and swash plate.
