K3VL80 Excavator Hydraulic Pump Parts Origin Construction Machinery Parts

Functioning as the core power component of excavator hydraulic systems, the main hydraulic pump is powered by the engine to convert mechanical energy into high-pressure hydraulic energy. It sends pressurized hydraulic fluid to hydraulic motors to enable all working motions of the excavator. Axial variable displacement piston pumps are fitted to most engineering excavators. Medium and large excavator models utilize an integrated assembly of dual main pumps and a rear pilot gear pump. Two independent high-pressure oil supply circuits supply fluid to the main control valve, supporting compound working movements, with rated working pressure spanning 28MPa to 35MPa. The tail-mounted low-pressure pilot pump runs at 3–4MPa with low flow output, offering pilot pressure oil for control handle operation and main valve spool control. Piston assemblies attached to the cylinder block and pump casing rotate synchronously with the main shaft, completing oil suction and pressurization processes. Varying the swash plate tilt angle modulates piston stroke, which adjusts the pump’s displacement value. An external servo regulator governs swash plate movement in response to hydraulic feedback signals. A larger tilt angle enhances flow rate and working speed, while a smaller angle cuts fuel consumption and prevents engine shutdown. The valve plate isolates low-pressure intake and high-pressure outlet passages to distribute hydraulic oil effectively. Three core control functions ensure the pump’s dependable operation. Constant power control automatically reduces pump displacement under increased load conditions, protecting the engine and raising power utilization efficiency. The LS load-sensing system delivers on-demand flow based on actual working needs and maintains low idle displacement to save fuel. The HP pressure limiting function minimizes pump displacement at peak pressure to protect hydraulic pipelines and oil cylinders from rupture damage. Frequent malfunctions include internal leakage stemming from piston wear, valve plate breakage or regulator blockage, leading to slow operation speed and insufficient power output. A locked maximum-displacement regulator causes engine overload, black smoke exhaust and stalling during heavy-duty operation. Excessive internal leakage turns pressure loss into thermal energy, causing abnormal hydraulic oil temperature rise. System air entry, insufficient hydraulic oil and faulty bearings or pistons generate abnormal operating noise. Daily upkeep work requires periodic replacement of hydraulic oil and filter cartridges to avoid abrasion of precision internal components. Maintaining good tightness of oil suction pipes prevents air ingestion and machine vibration, and keeping hydraulic fluid at standard levels stabilizes pump working performance.
