E345DXM Hydraulic Pump Parts Excavator Main Piston Swash Plate Spare Construction Machinery Digger

Serving as the key power unit of excavator hydraulic systems, the main hydraulic pump is engine-driven to transform mechanical energy into high-pressure hydraulic energy. It conveys pressurized hydraulic fluid to hydraulic motors to enable all functional working motions of the excavator. Axial variable displacement piston pumps are standard equipment on the majority of engineering excavators. Medium and large excavator models adopt an integrated structure combining dual main pumps and a rear-mounted pilot gear pump. Two separate high-pressure oil supply loops supply fluid to the main control valve, allowing flexible compound working movements, with a rated working pressure of 28MPa to 35MPa. Positioned at the machine tail, the low-pressure pilot pump operates at 3–4MPa with low flow output, offering pilot pressure oil for control handle operation and main valve spool regulation. Piston groups secured on the cylinder block and pump casing rotate synchronously with the main shaft, finishing oil absorption and pressurization processes. Modifying the swash plate inclination angle changes piston stroke length, which modulates the pump’s displacement capacity. An external servo regulator adjusts swash plate position based on hydraulic feedback data. Increasing the tilt angle enhances flow rate and operational speed, while decreasing it lowers fuel consumption and prevents engine shutdown. The valve plate partitions low-pressure inlet and high-pressure outlet channels to distribute hydraulic oil evenly. The pump is fitted with three essential control modules to ensure stable operation. Constant power control automatically reduces pump displacement under higher load pressure, protecting the engine and boosting power utilization efficiency. The LS load-sensing system provides on-demand flow based on actual working needs and maintains low idle displacement for fuel economy. The HP pressure limiting function cuts pump displacement at peak pressure levels, preventing rupture damage to hydraulic pipelines and oil cylinders. Frequent faults include internal leakage caused by worn pistons, broken valve plates or clogged regulators, resulting in slow operation and insufficient power output. A seized maximum-displacement regulator causes engine overload, black smoke emission and stalling during heavy-duty tasks. Excessive internal leakage converts pressure loss into heat energy, triggering abnormal hydraulic oil overheating. Air infiltration into the system, inadequate hydraulic fluid volume and damaged bearings or pistons produce abnormal operational noise. Daily upkeep includes regular replacement of hydraulic oil and filter cartridges to avoid wear of precision internal components. Maintaining superior tightness of oil suction pipelines prevents air ingestion and machine vibration, while keeping hydraulic oil at standard levels stabilizes pump working performance.
