Functional Description

Hydraulic main pump serves as energy conversion component of excavator hydraulic system, driven by engine output torque to convert mechanical energy into hydraulic pressure energy and supply working fluid for all executive hydraulic devices.

Structural Type

Axial variable displacement piston pump is standard OEM configuration; tandem integrated dual pump is adopted for medium-large tonnage excavators with pilot gear pump integrated on rear end face. Dual pump rated working pressure 28~35MPa for separated oil supply and composite movement realization; pilot pump with 3~4MPa working pressure provides pilot control medium for manipulation valve and main valve spool.

Internal Component Parameter

Cylinder block assembly equipped with multiple plunger groups completes oil suction and pressurization with principal axis rotation. Swash plate inclination determines plunger stroke and pump volumetric displacement; externally installed hydraulic regulator adjusts swash deflection by pilot pressure signal. Valve plate realizes separation of low-pressure inlet and high-pressure discharge chamber and completes flow distribution.

Control Principle

Constant power matching realizes automatic displacement reduction with load growth to optimize power utilization and avoid engine shutdown; load sensing control achieves flow supply following actual system demand to reduce no-load power loss; pressure limiting control minimizes pump displacement at overpressure state to protect hydraulic pipeline and cylinder.

Fault Analysis

Friction pair abrasion inner leakage or regulator clamping leads to insufficient flow and low working efficiency; permanent large displacement causes engine overload and exhaust smoke; excessive internal leakage induces hydraulic oil overheat; air entrainment and oil shortage trigger abnormal pump vibration and noise.

Maintenance Specification

Periodic replacement of hydraulic medium and filter elements, airtight inspection of suction pipeline and fixed liquid level management are required for long-term stable operation.
